Probably I explain myself really bad, or simply it's due to the
phenomenom I talk about not happening in your country. It's not about an
hypothetical European Parliament pirate party group; it's about:
- a well known entity already called European PP (Spanish PP is a part
of it)
- a pirate party called PIRATA
- PIRATA trying to avoid confusion between Spanish PP and itself, not
just in the national scope, but also in the international scope -and I
can supply all of you with dozens of links that would prove that not
only the /PPirata/ trick exists, but also people laugh at the very PPI
URL (pp-international.net); thus, I have no doubt on calling us the
European pirate parties /European PP/ would be really negative to us
Maybe in Sweden this doesn't happen, so this may sound pretty bizarre to
you. The thing is, whether you believe me or not, it happens in Spain:

Agree :)

I know Uppsala Declaration -it states the same as Christian Engström in
his blog-.
But, then, (considering that current rules are 21/7, 21 MEPs from 7
countries), even if there were 4-5 pirate MEPs from 2-3 countries, would
Piratpartiet follow anyway the Uppsala Declaration principles, i.e.,
would behave within the Europarliament as a part of
/Greens/Communists/Populars/Liberals/Socialists/Independents/Nationalists/
? I mean, it would seem quite strange to have 4-5 pirate MEPs acting
with 2-3 different strategies.
And there is also the risk -I've asked about it in other thread
(24-I-09, 14:56's mail)- of that Group where Piratpartiet merges in,
claiming to have reached a deal with the pirate movement. I think there
are many details concerning this issue to be dealt with -however, for
the sake of thread topics, I recommend to comment them in the other
thread-. Regards,
