My bad. Typing on the widest phone, it slipped out my hands and was
sent. I'm continuing below

Protesting the highly intrusive and useless security theater just for
domestic flying. (lets not even talk about international flights)

Sometimes its about disobaying just the wishes, or the spirit, while
staying within the law (go slow). Other times its doing so by making
both sides stick exactly to the law (work to rule)

Of course, most civil disobedience actions end up having little effect
or one negative in the long run. Look at the UK student fee protests.
Because a very small number of protesters were 'civilly disobedient'
and attacked Conservative hq, the next march a day or two aalgo was
'kettle' by the police which not only reduced the effectiveness of the
march but put people off marching next time. All because of a tactic
the police could use thanks to a few handfuls deciding to act outside
the law without thinking of the wider consequences.

Hope this has provided some thought.
