Hello Rodrigo:

That's not some "cool and nice to have" feature in the TED talk video:
all modern secure cryptographic voting system provide a public voting
bulletin board where you can check your vote somehow in the same
manner. And it's precisely using the information in this bulletin
board  that you can check that the tally was done correctly (and that
your vote was also casted correctly).
