A large company is any company with more than 250 employees, so this
category includes many more companies than the top 50 list.

I think I have seen another definition of "large company" based on how
many millions of dollars of capitalization the company has. A company
with 250 employees would probably NOT qualify as large by that
definition.

In other words, the term may be causing misunderstanding.

(I would think of a company with 250 people as medium-size.)
