WRONG

See, I have LEGAL distribution and performance rights for a US TV show.
If I put it up there, for my own access that's fair and legal. Now, if
someone else puts a copy on there and they DON'T have the rights, then
the parent company (viacom...) can and would issue a DMCA notice for it.
Now, under YOUR (incorrect) understanding, they'd have to remove MY
copy, which is legal and actually NOT in compliance with the DMCA, since
it would be an inaccurate notice.

instead, by removing the link the person had, they've removed THE
INFRINGEING access to the show, while preserving my LEGITIMATE access to it.

You can't have it every way you want Christian.
