And by the way, what do the politicians do with the IPCC global warming
assertion? Raise taxes.
Raising taxes may be good for many reasons. This is not an argument at all.
And create a business market for CO2 emission.
Carbon trading is different from taxation, so you are arguing against two
different things by disregarding the difference. Not rational.
And
where do the money of these taxes go? Most of it do not go into
environmental projects at all (it's like this in Switzerland at least) but
fill other budget holes.
The purpose of these increased taxes is to encourage people to burn
less fuel. How the money gets spent is irrelevant for that purpose,
so your argument is invalid even if the premises are true.
All of that discussion is wandering from the issue. The point is that
global heating threatens disaster and the Pirate Parties must give
great attention to avoiding that disaster.
You are changing the subject to specific possible solutions. Even if
you were right about those specific possible solutions, it would not
invalidate the point.
