If the Royal Society really did attempt to silence skeptics, it would
have been wrongdoing, but it would not invalidate all the evidence for
global heating.

However, Global heating denialists often exaggerate.  If the
accusation was an exaggeration, the alleged facts might not even
amount to wrongdoing.
