Another effect of CO2 emissions is to make the oceans more acidic.
In the next few decades this will endanger coral reefs.

Many sea animals live in coral reefs.  Many fish live in coral reefs
when they are young, then move to other habitats.  Thus, the death of
coral reefs would result in a collapse of marine resources that people
eat as well as extinction of many species.
